Now Travel To Myanmar From India In A Bus Starting April 2020

Chief Minister of Manipur, Mr. N. Biren Singh announced at the state assembly on February 20, about the commencement of bus service between Imphal, the capital of Manipur and Mandalay, the second-largest city in Myanmar from April 7, 2020, after 17 years of planning by both the Governments.

The 579 Km bus service from Mynamar will be operated by Shwe Mandalar Express Company Limited, a Mandalay based bus company, and the service from India will be operated by Seven Sister Holidays Company Limited, based in India.

The chief minister also mentioned that currently, the bus service will be operational for three times a week. Further, he stated that the service will improve the health, education and tourism sectors in both the countries.
