Old Town in the area of 8th and B will be shut down for this event, featuring activities such as visits to the Route 66 Museum, a car show, multiple vendors, music, food and a historic walking tour of Old Town. Other activities inclue an art and craft show.

According to Barbara Powers, president of the Victorville Old Town Route 66 Historic Society, donations or sponsorships will be used for insurance, printing, signs, security and festival preparations. Musicians have generously volunteered their time and so have the committee members. Another method is volunteer to help out at the event.

Sponsorships are tax deductible. The group’s federal non-profit ID is 46-3785069, and checks are payable to “V.V. Old Town Route 66 Historic Society,” 12511 Galaxy St., Victorville 92392.
