I love fruits, and though rarely available, Peach is one of my favourites. Eaten with vanilla ice-cream, either sliced as it is or poached in a lime and ginger infused sugar syrup, it is a dessert that is light, flovourful and intense. Another peach that I've been loving lately is this pretty Avon Nailwear Pro+ polish in Perfectly Flesh - a glossy, long-wearing light peachy coral that is perfect for understated, sophisticated yet pretty, girly nails.
This picture is taken immediately after application. The consistency is watery thin, and you need to layer on 3 coats for it to go opaque and streak-free. It however dries fairly quickly - 2 minutes - and the finish, as you can see, is slightly translucent and quite glossy - exactly the way I prefer my summer polishes to be!
The color is just SO LOVELY! It is a light peach with a hint of beige and pink, which lends it a coral-ly look in certain lighting. On my medium skintone (MAC NC 40) it adds a pretty pop of summery color without looking over-the-top, for medium to dark skintones it can be a good nude polish, while looking more vibrant on lighter girls. It is perfect for office-wear too!
All the pictures, including the one above (except the one already mentioned) were taken on the 4th day of wear, and as you can see, there is hardly any sign of chipping or tip-wear, and the polish retains its glossiness. Isn't it amazing?! The formula is extremely long-wearing, and though the color lightens ever-so-slightly, the polish remains glossy resisting any wear-and-tear.
In short, Perfectly Flesh, though slightly misleading in name, is one of the best polishes in Avon's Nailwear Pro+ range- glossy, long-wearing with a very pretty Peach colour. And it is usually available on discount too. I think it's going to be one of my most-worn nail polishes this summer! LOVE IT!
