North East Body Shop Event

By Megan Lillie @meganjanelillie
North East Body Shop EventOn Friday night I plucked up some courage and attended the NE Body Shop Event hosted by the ever so lovely Maddie of alltheprettythings-x. It was my first Bloggers Event so I was unsure of what to expect and was super nervous about meeting fellow bloggers. After some Topshop Sale shopping (oops) me and Luce from lucestephenson set upon our hour long bus journey to Eldon Square in Newcastle. As we arrived half an hour early, we stopped off in MAC (once again, oops) and then made our way to shop all ready for the event. I swear that if my town had a MAC counter, it'd be so dangerous for my bank account!
We were greeted by Maddie and her team with glasses of Bucks Fizz and lots of sweeties, cakes, mini doughnuts and mini Millie's Cookies. A great way to begin what was a fabulous evening! We were given the opportunity to test out as many products as we wished, have mini makeovers, hand massages and even skin consultations. Amongst all this and despite being a tad on the shy side, I met some wonderful ladies. You know who you are girls! I'm pretty sure now the awkward introductions are out the way - the next event will be easier! Nevertheless I thoroughly enjoyed the evening, so a big thank you to Maddie & The Body Shop for not only a great event, an amazing deal of getting 50% off purchases, a goodybag full of samples AND a loaf of bread... but for my first ever chance to mingle with fellow bloggers. Thanks to all of the girls I got a chance to speak to, you were all so gorgeous and lovely.

So in our goody bag we were blessed with a Madagascan Vanilla Shower Gel, 6 pots of different samples and some fab offers! Not to forget the delicious loaf of bread courtesy of the French Oven (not pictured). To take advantage of the 50% off I purchased some lovely bits and bobs for my Mam and sister (not pictured) and for myself I bought the Aloe Gentle Face Wash  and the Aloe Eye Defence - excited to try them out! All in all, everything about the night was amazing. Roll on the next event! Thanks for reading.
