No More Porn Allowed on Blogger, Google Warns

Posted on the 26 February 2015 by Nrjperera @nrjperera

Remember Google’s Blogger? Yes, it’s still there. Google’s free blogging platform used to be a paradise for personal bloggers, until WordPress came along. Yet the service serves thousands of users, although most of them uses the platform as a place to store their arsenal of adult pictures. But not for long.

Updating its terms and adult content policy on Blogger, Google has issued a warning to its users stating that starting March 23, 2015 users aren’t allowed to publicly share sexually explicit images and videos on Blogger. Any new blog that tries to upload adult content and go public will be removed by Google.

As for the existing porn blogs, Google won’t be deleting those blogs or their contents. Instead they will be automatically made private, which can only be seen by the owner or admins.

Google’s Blogger is being used by pirates to host content related to their porn torrents, unlike Tumblr where users share adult pictures just for the fun of it. This may be the reason why Google has decided to finally put an end to porn on Blogger.

If you’re struggling to find a place for your porn, I’d suggest you make the move to Tumblr, which has “no problem with that kind of stuff. Go nuts. Show nuts. Whatever.” Go over here to learn more about exporting your Blogger blog.
