"No Candy For You" - HTC One S Not Getting 4.2.2

HTC and all who love using their devices were happy when One S was launch in not too distant past. It was a nice device with a fancy "micro arc oxidation" process to finish its back cover. Alas HTC has confirmed that it won't get the latest iteration of Android i.e. 4.2.2. It's such a shame that a good device like One S has been left in the dust by HTC especially when they could not afford any bad press at all. This news was confirmed to it's loyal consumers by HTC on HTC Elevate last night.

This news is also a huge disappointment when the rival Samsung is updating all its dual core phones from 2 years ago (that's like a decade in smartphone years) to 4.2.2 including some versions of very rarely used Tabs. What do you make of this decision from HTC?
