A week ago, my sister, nieces and I were able to attend Wicked in Baltimore. I'll blog more about that later, but I wanted to do an outfit post with what I wore...
I thought a lot about what I wanted to wear to Wicked, I wanted to look nice and had decided on wearing a dress. But after I got dressed, it just didn't feel right. I love dresses, I do; but it just wasn't what I wanted to wear, that night. I don't know if this is just me, but what I'm in the mood to wear, always looks way better than something I'm not in the mood to wear. It's like my body is purposefully making the outfit look great if it's in the mood or hang all wrong when it's not.
So after deciding against a dress, I remembered a shirt I had from SheInside. I hadn't worn it yet, and figured it would look dressy enough if I paired it with the right items. The fabric is thick and soft, it's really structured, and the print is awesome (I chose it thinking it was a marble pattern, but it looks more like some kind of ink blot test... I see a horse). I put on my favorite red lipstick, some black pants, heels, my tiffany earrings, and grabbed my beaded clutch and the outfit really pulled together. I felt much more at ease in this outfit than the dress, but I still looked dressy enough for the occasion.
