Next Big Thing: Emeli Sande

On Thursday, I went to see the lovely Emeli Sande at the intimate Borderline in Tottenham Court Road. Sande first began turning heads as a songwriter, writing songs for Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis and Tinie Tempah; Simon Cowell had claimed that he was her favorite writer around! Last year she released releasing her debut single Heaven which earnt her a MOBO nomination for Best Newcomer. I was blown away by how stunning her voice was, shes sounds exactly as she does on her records, if not better! It looks like 2012 is going to be her year - she's already won the 2012 Brits Critics Choice Award, who's previous recipients include Adele, Jessie J and Florence and the Machine. She is such a talent and is definitely one to watch out for!
