Micah Le Lann is the pen name of an award-winning writer, poet, and satirist from the former German Democratic Republic. He originally studied International Forest Ecosystem Management and worked with the Forest Service of the United States Department of Agriculture at the San Juan National Forest, Colorado, when he decided to surrender to a longtime passion for international film history and pursue a career in film/video restoration. For almost 10 years, Le Lann has been a Color Timing/Film Restoration artist preserving and remastering treasures, particularly of East German and French film heritage, together with some of his favorite Laurel and Hardy shorts and feature-length films. He is also an Audio Forensic/Mastering engineer for classical music in Germany.
Le Lann has written lyrics, songs, and poetry after the concepts of country music's progressive songwriting and Poet for the common people started by Kristofferson, Nelson, Jennings, Miller, and Haggard. Le Lann's original voice and style won him the Collective Works Award for top songwriters in the international 2012 Song of the Year competition.Le Lann is a passionate writer and twister of words, anxious to explore and mix all kinds of genres; a lover of life, the arts, and new horizons. His idea of relaxation is to participate in trampoline jumping and in-line skate marathons.
