This chart shows the results of the new Morning Consult Poll -- done between September 30th and October 2nd of a random national sample of 1,778 likely voters, with a 2 point margin of error. It shows Hillary Clinton has a 6 point lead over Donald Trump in a four-way race.
This shows significant movement since the first presidential debate. Before the debate, this same poll had Trump leading by 1 point (within the margin of error).
Something that should buoy Democrats are the numbers for men and women. Men are split equally between Clinton and Trump (41% to 41%), but women give Clinton an 11 point advantage (43% to 32%). This is especially significant since women traditionally vote in larger numbers than men.
