New York Democrats Want Clinton As The Nominee
One would expect Bernie Sanders biggest support to come from the Northeast (which is his home part of the country, being from Vermont). And that seems to be true, with his current lead in New Hampshire. But it is not true in some other Northeastern states.
New York is a state, that because of its population, will have a significant impact on the Democratic nomination. And at least so far, Hillary Clinton has a huge lead in that state -- 21 points over Joe Biden and 22 points over Bernie Sanders. And it is unlikely to get much better for Sanders, since a plurality of 42% of New York Democrats list him as the candidate they would least like to have leading the ticket.
These numbers are from a new Siena College Poll -- done between September 14th and 17th of a random sample of 378 New York Democrats, with a margin of error of 5 points.
