Twitter has introduced a brand new feature to the micro-blogging site, which allows users to create multiple timelines to collect and share tweets publicly. Basically, these custom timelines are like lists for tweets. You get to create a timeline focused on a topic and collect tweets of your choice to feature on a timeline that gets its own page on twitter.com.
For example, lets say you want to create a Twitter custom timeline to feature the best photos of animals. So, after creating the timeline with a name or a hashtag you desire, you can search for tweets and then handpick the best to include them on your timeline.
“Whether you want to collect the best Tweets about a TV show or help people find the latest information about fast-moving real-time situations, custom timelines let you give everyone a place to follow along,” Twitter explained in a blog post. Even though users are not allowed to follow these timelines, they can be embedded on websites to update an article on a certain topic.

Right now, you can only create custom timelines using TweetDeck. Twitter promises to roll out this feature to all TweetDeck users within a few days, however there’s no word on when it will arrive for web and mobile users.
