“Not only does ‘Halo: Nightfall’ cater to the hardcore ‘Halo’ fans, but it’s also designed so newcomers to the franchise, like me, can easily enter the ‘Halo’ universe, identify with the characters and be entertained by the story being told on screen,” Colter told Variety.

Mike Colter plays the lead role in the series, Agent Locke, who also plays a major role in the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians video game. The live action series, which was directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, same guy who brought you Falling Skies and Battlestar Gallactica, and produced by Ridley Scott, will be released by the end of 2014.
