This is the latest ABC News / Washington Post Poll. It was done between September 5th and 8th of a random national sample of 842 registered voters, and has a 4 point margin of error.
The poll shows Hillary Clinton maintaining a five point lead over Donald Trump. The chart below, also from that poll, shows why Clinton is leading. She is viewed as more honest and having a better temperament for the presidency, understands the problems of voters better, and is closer to the voters on issues. She also gets higher marks than Trump on her ability to handle the economy, terrorism, immigration, taxes, and trade.
