A new trailer was released a day ago, but I just got around to watching it…and it is magnificent. This new trailer gives us a glimpse into its story structure a bit more than the previous ones and we get a few more frames of action to see how this new Superman stacks up. Needless to say, he moves and tears through things like the last son of Krypton should.

Michael Shannon seems to be in the zone while playing the maniacal villain and we get two fathers of different species (Russell Crowe/ Kevin Costner) echoing similar sentiments about Clark/Kal-El and his potential for greatness. I’m really liking the direction this is taking and they even borrow the origin of his emblem from the comics. This is all adding up to be a great Superman film and perhaps a great way to start the DC universe.
P.S. Has Kevin Costner always sounded a bit like Nick Cage?
