One of these days I will get myself an immersion blender and will actually start making my own soup.
Until that day comes I will continue my love affair with New Covent Garden Soups.
So far, I’ve blogged a bout the Baked Potato with Cheese and Beans, Haricot, Bacon and Winter Vegetable and Cheese and Piccalilli.
Now is the turn of the Thai Chicken (or as my carton was marked – Thaise Kip and Poulet Thai).
This is a very watery soup, so it heats up nice and quickly. When I saw it in the bowl, it immediately made me think of frogs spawn (which was a little off-putting).
The Thai Chicken soup is certainly very different and the lemongrass is really refreshing. It includes a good amount of chicken and the coconut and ginger really comes through in the taste.
That said, there are other flavours that I enjoy far more than this one, so I probably won’t buy it again.
