Banksy has left several new art pieces the past few weeks including the “Girl with a Pierced Eardrum” work that was put up in Bristol, England near the city’s harbor. The piece is obviously an ode and update to the Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, which if you remember was the subject of a Scarlett Johansson-starring movie.
On November 17, 2014 HBO will air “Banksy Does New York,” which according to the LA Times, “uses crowd-sourced footage to recount the 30 days during which the British street artist created public works of art around the city’s five boroughs.”
