Lava has launched the V5, a 4G supported smartphone with main focus on the rear camera. Speeding things off with the details of the smartphone, it has a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 . It runs on a 64-bit MediaTek quad-core processor timed at 1.3GHz and 3GB of RAM alongside 16GB of inbuilt storage capacity that can be extended to an extra 32GB by means of a microSD card. The gadget runs Android Lollipop v5.1 layered with Lava’s Star OS 2.0. Lava has ensured that it will be moved up to Android Marshmallow v6.0 later. It is furnished with a powerful 3000mAh battery & accompanies support for CAT4 4G LTE and VoLTE.
The Lava V5 4G LTE has a 13MP ISOCELL camera at the back. The camera highlights phase detection auto-focus and a 5 layer Largan lens. The company asserts that the camera of Lava V5 takes only 0.18 seconds for auto-focus and is 3x quicker than ordinary smartphone cameras. On the front is a 8MP camera with a 84-degree wide-point lens and LED flash. The gadget likewise accompanies Lava’s MagicPix application that offers highlights like Beauty-fi, Pic Focus, Wide ‘selfie’, Night ace, GIF Maker, Intelligent Selfie, and Multi-Angle view.
On the right side, the cell phone has the power button and the volume rocker and the top and base of the gadget (when held in picture mode) have the earphones jack and the mini USB port individually. The back panel is removable, underneath which rest the two SIM card slots and the microSD card space.Underneath the display you have the standard back, home and menu buttons.
Priced at INR 11,299/- , Lava V5 is up against some tough competition in the form of the Lenovo K4 Note, Asus Zenfone 2, Moto G Turbo and the Meizu M2 Note, all of which are great performers considering the price point.
