Netherfriends’ 50 Songs, 50 States is a superb summer soundtrack. The dreamy yet upbeat tone of the album sets the mood for soaring along highways. The album truly chronicles the mindset of 21st century youth with Keene, NH and Phoenix, AZ, which even finishes out with a nifty little rap verse. Portland, OR and New Orleans, LA are great danceable tracks and Netherfriends’ quirky lyrics lend a unique feel to the entirety of the album. Though it’s clear Netherfriends intend to put out all 51 tracks, the extra one is due to his inclusion of the District of Columbia, he’s only released the first twelve.
