NEIGHBOURS THINK I AM CRAZY - Part 2

By Dyarnell @dyarnell
Generally speaking when raking leaves at the cottage they tend to move into the forest, not out of the forest.
- But not always. -
When I am transplanting plants I have harvested at the cottage my job is not done until I have 'dressed' the scene after everything is planted.  In fact the same goes for the places I take the plants from. I do not wan them to look like they have just been pillaged even if nobody else is likely to see the spot they came from. It feels respectful to do a little touch up.
In a previous post I talked about harvesting the particular evergreens below to fill in between us and our cottage neighbours on the North side.  Look carefully and you will see that even though they were newly planted for this photo that the ground is covered with a natural leaf mulch.NEIGHBOURS THINK I AM CRAZY - part 2I had raked the leaves into the woods to plant the trees and while I was raking them back into place I realized that the neighbours were on their deck enjoying their supper and the view.
This is not the first time my neighbours must have thought I was crazy.  All they saw was me raking leaves out of the forest, not in.  They know I spend a lot of time in the yard, but c'mon. They must have had a chuckle.
