Yesterday, while reporting on the ongoing U.S.-Africa Summit in Washington, D.C., NBC senior White House correspondent Chris Jansing made a huge Freudian slip about President Ebola being “from Kenya.”
Referring to the summit, MSNBC’s Joy Reid said, “The White House is clearly, I would assume, hoping this will be part of the president’s legacy, given his background.”
Jansing breezily replied, “Yeah, the fact that he’s from Kenya. And the fact that when he was elected there were expectations on the African continent that he would do great things for them.”
Jansing later corrected herself, saying that what she really meant was that “the President’s father was from Kenya.”
Too funny.
