There’s a really neat organization out there called “Naturalist for You.” This organization will take groups of people out on hikes in and around the OC. And it’s all done by donations. There’s no set costs, and it’s however you’d like to donate to the organization.
A few weeks ago, a group of us headed out to Black Star Canyon, and took a hiking adventure.
My SO and I are always saying we should go on a hike, this finally got us out and committed to following through.
Our tour guide, Joel, even leads the hikes barefoot, being a true naturalist to the environment around him.
During the hike, Joel, was incredibly informative about the trees, vegetation, and even pointing us out to trap door spiders along our hike.
And that’s what’s so neat about “Naturalists for You.” They lead these educational hikes filled with a variety of information, and are there to answer any questions you may have throughout the journey.
By the end of our hike, we had walked about 3 miles altogether.

In the end, it was a great day, very relaxing, and extremely informative as we took in the nature around us.
