I’ve always had pretty normal skin. Even when I was in the trenches as a hormonal teenager, my breakouts were slim to none. I always broke out a little but it definitely wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. But because my skin was never something of concern, I was never one to find one type of face wash or moisturizer and stick with it. I’ve always been open to trying the latest and greatest products.
Just because I’ve never had skin problems doesn’t mean I’m not concerned with what I’m putting on my skin. Neutrogena Naturals is free of chemical sulfates, parabens, petrolatum, dyes, and phthalates. Even better, 94% of the ingredients used in the line are natural. Where do they come from? They’re derived from natural plant, flower, and minerals! So you’re getting the best ingredients for your skin and having a great experience in the process.
My girl Kristen Bell uses these products and here’s what she has to say about them:
“The shifts I’ve made towards being more eco-friendly aren’t monumental, and they don’t have to be a total overhaul. It shouldn’t scare people. For example, I try to limit my showers to 3 minutes; one long song and you’re done. I do 4 things in the shower: I use soap, shampoo, conditioner, and brush my teeth. Most of the time, it’s all done simultaneously!”
“I really like the Neutrogena Naturalsline because there’s a minimal amount of ingredients. It’s really pure and natural. I live by the Purifying Facial Cleanser — I use it every single night. I use it either with my fingertips or a little wooden natural bristle brush, and then I use the Multivitamin Nourishing Moisturizer. And that’s pretty much it.”
“I always wash my face before I go to bed with the Naturals cleanser….Consistency and simplicity is what my skin really, really responds to.”
So we know Kristen loves them… what did I think?
Let’s start with the purifying makeup remover cleansing towelettes. I’ll be honest, sometimes I’m lazy and stop after this step. I loveeeeeeee how they smell and I love that they aren’t sopping wet. I hate when they’re so full of moisture that it gets in my eyes are comes running out off my face.
The purifying facial cleanser smells amazing too! It also didn’t dry my face out which tends to happen sometimes with some other cleansers that use harsh chemicals. It left my face feeling fresh and energized and ready for the day (or bed haha).
And last but not least, I used the multi-vitamin nourishing moisturizer as the final step. I’m always looking for a good moisturizer, especially as I’m starting to get older. I loved that this lotion contained vitamins B, C, E and antioxidant omega bionutrients. Healthier, younger looking skin? I’ll take it! It also wasn’t greasy or cakey and left a very thin layer of moisture.
I would definitely purchase these products again. I know some people think you need to “feel” a product working to know it’s doing it’s job but you don’t need that reassurance with these. Because you know they are and you know they aren’t harming your skin in the process. I also had no idea the brand itself was so environmentally conscious; the products are derived from natural ingredients and packaged in recyclable paper cartons, and they just overall give off the impression of natural excellence.
Have you tried Neutrogena Naturals yet?! What are you waiting for?!
