Just received a letter that my membership in the National Association of Professional Women has been approved. By sending in a post card I will be "highlighted amongst thousands of accomplished professional women." And "there is no fee to be included."
Nice, but I never applied. And, to be perfectly honest, my business is still in it's infancy.
I looked up the website, www.napw.com and it looks great. They seem to offer a lot of services. They can't be doing that much for free but I couldn't find any information on membership fees. Hmmm...
From the BBB:
"This business is not a BBB Accredited Business."
"Based on BBB files, this business has a BBB Rating of C- on a scale from A+ to F.
Factor(s) that lowered this business' rating include:
- Length of time business has been operating
- 159 complaints filed against business"
And if you want more info about them, just Google NAPW. You'll get an earfull!
Thanks, but I think I'll pass.
