Natalie Portman is an actress, film producer and film director with dual American and Israeli citizenship. born on June 9, 1981, in Jerusalem, Israel, to a Jewish family. Her first role was in the 1994 action thriller Léon: The Professional. Natalie Portman won the 2010 Academy Award for her role as a dancer in Black Swan, and was nominated for an Academy Award for starring in the 2004 drama Closer.
Portman started dating ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied in 2009, after meeting on the set of Black Swan. In 2010 the couple announced their engagement.
