NASA’s search for habitable planets, Kepler mission had to be abandoned back in August 2013 due to some technical difficulties that came up with the Kepler probe. But, now NASA is planning to revive the project again to resume the planet hunting mission and maybe even find some friendly aliens.
According to a report from Ars Technica, NASA has announced that its considering to include the reboot of Kepler mission in the 2014 budget. The new mission dubbed “Kepler 2″ will get back to work as soon as they fix the “failed hardware” on the spacecraft which caused to abandon the mission in the first place.

Thanks to the Kepler mission, NASA has already discovered over 3,500 potential worlds that are habitable for life forms all around our galaxy. Hopefully the new, refreshed mission will help shed light on our continued search for extra terrestrial life forms.
