Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation Review

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
Few things excite me as much as a new Foundation release from Nars. The Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation has been doing the rounds on the bloggosphere for a week or two now and I was finally sent a bottle from the beauties over at Nars PR to review. As always, I am not obliged to give a good review and all thoughts are my own (blah blah blaaahhh). Moving On!
Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation Review As you all will probably know by now, I am a huge fan of Sheer Glow foundation and so this new foundation had big boots to fill if it was going to live up to the expectations I already had of it.
You may already know that I'm a sucker for pretty packaging but really dislike gimmicks. This has typical clean glass Nars packaging and there's not a gimmick in sight. Am I whooping with joy at the packaging? No, but it looks classy and sophisticated, something I aspire to be (I said aspire, not that I actually am haha)
One thing you all will be pleased to know is that this has a pump! praise lord HALLELUJAH! The one thing that frustrates me about Nars Sheer Glow is that you have to hit it like a ketchup bottle to get any product out & if you buy a pump seperately it costs a stupid amount and the lid doesn't go on while you have it in.
The actual product feels watery - try shaking the bottle, it's a lot like an oil based foundation like the one from YSL.
Anyways, onto the actual product itself. I used a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply this and it blended in perfectly without having to work it into the skin too much.
I found this was brilliant at correcting my uneven skin tone. I have a fair bit of redness (typical Scottish skin!) and sometimes I need a good amount of concealer to disguise it. I used two pumps of this and it covered all my face and redness too. I would say it has a medium to full coverage without feeling cakey.
The only down side to this is that even after setting my foundation with a powder, I could still feel the moistness of it. I hate the feeling of having makeup on my hands or my skin in general so I had to layer up on the powder until I was happy.
This lasted aallll day long without getting cakey or patchy which was a lifesaver - not having to worry about my makeup while I'm out and about is something that always gets considered!
I was majorly impressed with the Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation! What do you think of it?  Let me know if you all thought the same about the 'moist' feeling?
All My love
Holly
