As a photographer, I spend my time looking up rather than down. You miss so much when you just focus on what is in your direct line of sight!
This is a detail of the Eglise Notre-Dame de Surgères. The Romanesque church was built in the 16th and 17th centuries. Its façade is a beautiful, albeit unknown, piece of art. It has a large number of wall sculptures, each of which is unique.
I hope to visit the church again someday. In the meantime, I will just look at the photos I took during my last trip there.
