As you know, Swissline is a luxury skincare brand that I have been a fan and user of for some few years as I have seen such incredible results in my own skin with the products and just love all that they create and do. Just call me a super fan.
I feel like I was handed a golden ticket when the Swissline Team kindly invited me to experience one of their Signature Facials on home turf, in the newly appointed Carlton Hotel in Cannes, South of France. I mean this is luxury meets luxury at its finest! The Carlton Hotel exudes elegance and sophistication, making it the perfect setting for an indulgent skincare experience. In fact Swissline are in some the worlds most opulent spa's all over the world, so this seems a perfect pairing.

As I stepped into the opulent newly renovated Carlton Hotel in Cannes, I was greeted by my lovely friend, Custodio, Brand Director of Swissline which was a perfect start. Everyone within the Hotel and Spa was super friendly and welcoming, you couldn't help but feel at ease from the moment you arrive. The waiting area and treatment room space was so peaceful and tranquil, it was like you were far away from the world and in a little pampering bubble. I couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation mixed with relaxation. I neglect to treat myself to facials and end up doing it all myself so it's quite a strange feeling letting someone take control, but in a good way of course!Just to let you know, I do come from a facial background having worked in the industry as a facialist for many years, so I know how effective facials really are when you combine great facial techniques with great product and ingredients. Which is why this really was a treat and maybe a kick start to making sure I do it more often.

My Skin ...
For reference my skin is normal skin type with a tendency to be dehydrated and of late, a little sensitive due to hormonal changes etc. I am nearly 44 years old and have never had any fillers, injectables or botox as yet. Who knows if or when that may come should I feel the need for that boost, but for now, it's all been skincare and skincare devices.

The Facial Treatment / Skin Assessment
I was met by my lovely esthetician Sophie, who began talking with me through my Swissline history of what products I was using and assessing my skin's needs, customising the treatment to address my concerns and goals. This was actually the first facial I had where I was familiar with all products more or less so we could really assess what was working for me. My chosen goals for the treatment were lifting, hydration and calmness.

The Swissline Lifting Facial is designed to target multiple signs of aging, from fine lines and wrinkles to loss of elasticity and firmness. The treatment aims to lift, sculpt, and revitalise the skin for a radiant and youthful appearance.I climbed under the cosy heated bed to let the skin magic begin. I have to say I am one of those people whilst having a facial that likes to know what's happening to each step, but as soon as the massage starts, that is me quiet and zoned out!
The whole facial began with a gentle cleansing ritual, followed by a super gentle exfoliation using PHAs as my skin has been a little bit reactive of late so didn't want to overdo it as well as some other skincare magic. Then came the star of the show—the lifting and firming massage, on the face, neck and shoulders, expertly performed to stimulate circulation, promote lymphatic drainage, and contour the facial muscles. This is what I now refer to as the 'magic'. It lasted for a good 45 minutes and I can honestly say I've never had a massage quite like it. It was so targeted that I could really feel everything being 'worked'. As the treatment progressed, I felt in total relaxation mode where I didn't want any of it to end.

The Results
Emerging from my little spa cocoon, I looked in a hand held mirror and saw my skin glowing back at me and the tension that had been lingering in my very tense muscles, seemed to have relaxed away. I was in shock at how lifted and sculpted my face looked, my forehead looked so smooth and could not believe how massage really transformed my face, as well as those powerhouse Swissline ingredients. As I admired my skin, Sophie chatted through what products and routine she advised worked best for my skin and wrote it all down.This was my skin (below) immediately after my treatment; (sorry to scare you) make up free, no camera filter or magic lighting but this is my skin. Not bad for 43 right? In fact the lovely therapist was amazed at my age, which lets face it, that's always a nice to hear!
I will say, this was more than just a facial; it was a rejuvenating experience for both body and mind as for someone that finds to hard to switch off, I surely did just that.

The Carlton/Swissline Experience
An absolute A-Star treatment. I mean, what is not to love; the location, the friendly atmosphere, the facial itself, just reminds me of the importance of self-care and investing in moments of indulgence that not only affect our outward appearance but also our inner well-being. In a world where time is a luxury, taking the time to pamper yourself is a necessity. I'd be here once a month if I had my way!There are many other Swissline Face and Body treatments available at the Carlton Spa and the fitness center looked amazing too. If you are looking for a really good facial or any other treatment, I highly recommend booking yourself in should you be visiting or just local. Yes it's a luxury, but when you don't do it that often, it really becomes a worthwhile treat. I hope to definitely go back sometime soon.
