My New Skincare Routine That Has Led To Compliments On My Skin!

By Triedandtestedblogger @triedtestedblog

Hi everyone,

For just shy of 2 months, I’ve been trialling quite a few new skincare products and luckily for me, all these different products have worked really well together! Whilst I never thought my skin was ‘bad’, I’ve seen a very evident improvement in the quality of my skin after beginning to use these products. All these products are coincidentally targeted towards moisturising, improving skin texture and to provide a clearer and more glowing complexion.

About 2 weeks ago, I attended an event where there were many gorgeous ladies there and I received quite a few compliments on my skin (which was very flattering!) and so instead of reviewing each of these products separately like I had planned, I thought I’d put them all in one post to show you a section of my skincare routine. I also use other skincare products in my routine (eye cream, masks, etc)  but I’ve already featured those staples in other posts so this post includes all the new products I’ve added to my routine and have been using for over  7 weeks now!

Ultraderm Skin Renew Cleansing Brush – $79.95 from Facial Co.

A someone who wouldn’t spend hundreds of dollars on a certain famous cleansing brush, I’ve tried quite a few ‘drugstore’ alternatives and while they work well, I felt as though they didn’t produce the rave results that others achieved with the more expensive version so when I was given the opportunity to trial this cleansing brush from Ultraderm, I jumped at the chance and I’m so glad that I did! Different from the traditional cleaning brushes, this product features densely packed ultra-fine 0.06mm anti-bacterial bristles. With approx. 150,000 bristles, it produces 10,000 sonic vibrations per minute which are said to help improve skin tone. This brush works amazingly well at cleansing the face and removing any excess makeup, dirt and grime as well as removing dead skin cells. The bristles are extremely soft and so while it’s gentle on the skin, the vibrations really help to clear the skin and its pores and I love the rectangular shape of the head as I find it works so well to work on and around the nose to target blackheads and such. After use, my face is clean and skin is left smooth and soft with no irritation. Another standout is that this cleansing brush is waterproof so I use it in the shower and it also comes with a stand so it will stand upright on the shelf/caddy. The size of the brush is also great as it’s small and light so it’s easy to use and to travel with because it’s battery operated. I highly recommend looking into this brush if you’re looking for this type of a product!

Indeed Laboratories Facial Powdered Exfoliator – $34.99 from Priceline.

I’ve been a huge fan of Indeed Laboratories products for over a year now and I was very excited to try their latest product because the exfoliator comes in a form that I’ve never tried! The Facial Powdered Exfoliator comes in the form of a very finely milled white micro powder that is to be activated with water before use. The only thing about this product is that it does take a few tries to get the ratio of powder to water correct to find the perfect creamy/foamy consistency for your skin but other than that, this is an amazing product. Because it isn’t overly gritty or abrasive, it doesn’t irritate the skin but it does cleanse and exfoliate the skin thoroughly. It didn’t strip the skin at all but instead it left it so incredibly soft and clear. I found that it worked very well to minimize the appearance of blackheads and overall, it left my skin looking much brighter and clearer. I’ve used this product alone and mixed with my cleanser as the amazing Caroline Hirons recommended. Its key ingredients include bamboo extract, rice bran powder, okinawa red algae, hyaluronic acid and pineapple enzymes.

Ego QV Face Gentle Cleanser – $12.75 from Pharmacies and Priceline nationally.

This cleanser has quickly become a favourite, as my skin became drier in the colder months, this product has worked really well at combating that and to leave my skin hydrated and protected from the harsh weather. Best suited for normal, dry or sensitive skin, the soap free and PH balanced cleaner has creamy consistency that lathers well for its form. I found that the formula really ensured that my skin stayed hydrated throughout and after cleansing and it actually made my skin feel more hydrated than it did prior to cleansing my face with this product! The gentle cleanser worked well to cleanse the face after makeup remover at night and I think it works fantastically in the morning to give your skin a great start to the day and to prepare the face for further skincare and makeup application. It left my skin feeling soft, supple and hydrated and the gentle formula never felt stripping. Its key ingredients include Safflower Oil & Linoleic Acid to rehydrate the skin and repair the skin barrier function, Vitamin E for anti-oxidising benefits and Glycerin to help draw water from the product and to hold it in the skin to allow for proper hydration.

Burt’s Bees Radiance Toner with Royal Jelly – $24.95 from Myer, Priceline, Target and Burt’s Bees.

Now I know not everybody is a toner person but I’ve personally used toner for years in my skincare regime and I feel as though having a toner does make a difference. With the addition of Royal Jelly, which is considered one of the world’s most nutrient rich ingredients, it contains 134 different nutrients and has the properties to improve skin texture. The toner comes in a bottle with a press down to open lid which allows for easy application onto a cotton pad. The toner has a pleasant scent that isn’t overpowering and it works well to wipe away any leftover dirt and oil after cleansing the face. With a refreshing feel to the skin, it doesn’t strip the skin of moisture but instead leaves it feeling smooth and ready for the next step in the skincare regime.

RACINNE Ultimate Aqua Blanc Concentrate & RACINNE Ultimate Aqua Blanc Boost – $51.00 & $42.00 from RACINNE.

RACINNE was a completely new brand to me, whilst I had seen it around, I didn’t know much about the brand or its products but by far, these two RACINNE products are some of the best skincare products I’ve EVER tried! I found that they made the most incredible difference to my skin and I really attribute them to how good my skin looks and feels today. The key ingredient in the Aqua Blanc Series is Lotus Callus Culture Extract, from the Lotus Flower and together with RACINNE’s brightening formula, they work at the core of the skin cells to correct imperfections such as large pores, dark spots and the skin’s surface texture.

The RACINNE Ultimate Aqua Blanc Concentrate is a concentrated serum that helps energise the skin cells. With a beautiful soft scent, the serum is super lightweight and blends effortlessly into the skin within seconds and leaves no residue. Once applied it leaves the skin so incredibly soft, smooth and supple with a hydrated feel. A little goes a long way because it is able to be applied to the skin so easily. It definitely gives the skin a boost and this results in a more awake and glowing appearance and an overall feeling of freshness. I instantly noticed results after just a few uses and the improvement in my skin continues week by week. This product is used twice a day after cleansing and toning.

The RACINNE Ultimate Aqua Blanc Boost is a moisturizer in the line and it works just as amazingly as the Concentrate. It has a slightly thicker consistency than the Concentrate but still maintains the lightweight feel. It melts into the skin almost instantly and there’s no residue left on the skin but you can immediately feel that you’re skin has been given a hydration boost thats left the skin soft and supple. The moisture level in the skin is maintained throughout the day and I think this is a great moisturiser to use under makeup because it creates the perfect smooth base and the light formula leaves no residue on the skin and doesn’t cause any greasiness throughout the day.

After using this RACINNE combination for just shy of 2 months, I can wholeheartedly say that these products have helped improve my skin. My skin now has a much brighter and healthy appearance with the size of my pores minimized and I feel as though any dark spots have lightened to give my skin a much more clearer appearance. These two products help keep my skin adequately hydrated throughout the day, even in the colder weather and overall, the quality of my skin has just improved and has a glow to it!

Have you tried any of the above products?
