I’m not going to be Wilma from The Flintstones or A Candy Crush Saga game piece this Halloween. No, tonight, my Halloween costume will be… my mom at her high school prom! Here’s the story… I have a lot of her old clothes. A lot! From the dress she wore to my first communion to the skirt she wore to her 50th birthday party. I even have a Santa Clause sweater and a pair of skeleton earrings she wore every holiday. As a kid, it was so embarrassing to have a parent like that (can anyone relate?). One dress that has always stood out in her closet is this Pepto Bismol number from when she was nominated for homecoming queen. The year was 1971 and I’m not sure if she had a date or not. With those bangs, who wouldn’t have the hots for her? I’m sure the mister had killer sideburns though, amirite? Moving away from her history, can you take a look at that ric rac detailing? Ooo! To say that it was made of the stiffest and itchiest material would be an understatement. It’s so gross to the touch! Boy, am I going to be ghastly and ghoulish this Halloween! If Oona hosts another Promalloona, I might forgo wearing my red dress and instead chose this number. Marce, what do you think?
