My Dad Raped Me – An Horrific True Sexual Abuse Story
When I was 18 my mom told me who my real dad was and we finally arranged to meet. It was like looking into a mirror, we talked for hours, had a lot in common actually. We decided to keep in contact and started going places together. Within 3 months I left my mums to live every girls dream of been a daddy’s girl.
All was good for the first couple of months, then the sly comments about my appearance started, slowly he become possessive, told me what to wear, took over my Facebook and my mobile phone. I wasn’t allowed out without him.
I remember one occasion where I went to a party and I had a dress on and because it was short when I got home he threw things at me. He picked me up and threw me into a radiator, started jumping on my ribs. I left for a while got a boyfriend then fell pregnant. I had nowhere else to go so I moved back to my dad’s house
My dad hit me, again and again; my dad beat me up so bad that I lost my baby. I was six weeks pregnant.
He told me I was a baby killer, that I didn’t deserve kids and not long after this the sexual abuse started. My dad raped me, over and over time and time again. He told me I was worthless, no one wanted me. At weekends he would go out and come home drunk, why did my dad rape me? What did I ever do that was so wrong? Why did my dad hate me?
It took me two years to find the courage and the strength to leave. I got out and I spoke out. My dad was arrested and the trial was terrifying. My dad was found not guilty.
Meeting my dad was the best thing any girl could wish for but after what he put me through it has scared me for life, it has taken me a long time to let a male come close to me. It knocked my confidence, lowered my self-esteem and made me feel disgusting, worthless.
What makes it worse for me is I know he doesn’t live that far away and I ask myself what would I do if I come face to face with him? Two years on and I am settled in my own home with my little boy and fiancé and couldn’t be happier my dad raped me, robbed me of a normal childhood but he will never take away my strength to carry on with my life.
