My Conviction-Marriage, Remarriage, Divorce

By Themilkaint4free @prospermuch
I once wrestled with this issue, but God Himself along with studying the scriptures has set me free to now understand more & more  Marriage is for life. I share my journey in hopes of helping someone else with a sincere heart who wants to know the truth of God.  With love, let's digest now the Living Word and may we be forever transformed into His image.
1).  Now considering Mathew 19:9, everyone who reads that scripture should understand that there is no such thing as a  "no fault" divorce in God's Kingdom.  So I always understood that DIVORCE was not allowed except in the case of adultery and the innocent party could remarry (I now see this differently as shared in detail below).  So this should help people recognize their sin and not remarry, or forsake adulterous relationships if they divorced their spouses for any other reason i.e. 1) we just didn't get along 2). I don't love him or her, etc .  It should be real clear if you desire to obey and please God, you are not free to remarry but should remain unmarried or be reconciled to your spouse as stated in 1 Corinthians 7:10-11.
2.) Now the part that was most difficult to understand is could the innocent party remarry if they divorce their spouse for committing adultery.  I do understand the confusion about someone in this position because of how Mathew 19:9 is stated.  After studying the scriptures and context surrounding Mathew 19:9, I believe Jesus was referring to the Jewish betrothal period (similar to our engagement) where the couple is considered as husband and wife and had to follow through on the marriage unless one had fornication with someone else.  Then they were free to divorce as in the example of Mary and Joseph.  Joseph considered divorcing Mary during the betrothal period due to finding her pregnant before he knew and understood it was the Lord's doing.  With this understanding, all the scriptures were lining up that states we are not to remarry as long as our spouse is living, the command to either remain single or be reconciled to your living spouse.  It all makes God sense to me now.  Plus Christ came and established God's standard as it was from the very beginning which is Marriage for Life between one man and one woman til death do they part who submitted to one another in the fear of the Lord and love each other with His love. There was no divorce in the beginning, and Lord Jesus came and reestablished God's Eternal standards and through His power equipping us to be Godly families on the earth where the children could grow in whole and healthy homes and crush the devil's head destroying the devil's agenda.
3.) BELIEVERS, please repent if you are in an adulterous marriage as they did in Ezra 10:3, and left the foreign, forbidden wives.  And Yes, Jesus says it Himself in Mathew 19 that there is nothing wrong with becoming a Eunuch for the Kingdom of God.  Christ gave His innocent life for us wretchful, no good sinners, and how could we not want to give Him back all we can.  With His power, mercy, and grace, we don't have to continue in sin, We Now have the Power to live Holy, practicing abstinence and holiness.   I believe if we trust in Our God, He is able and will work all things together for your good.  Perhaps the true question, is a question of our heart, Do we love God enough that if we had to live Single and in Purity due to having married a living rebellious spouse, are we willing to do so for the sake of the Kingdom, for God and God alone, to show HIM We Love Him back by making this truly small sacrifice in comparison to the Sacrifice HE made for us! If one tries to save his life, he will lose it, but if he loses it for the King, he will find it.  MATTHEW 16:24-26  @16 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. @16"For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. @16"For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?…
