My Bath Time Essentials

My Bath Time Essentials
I tend to have a bath around once a week to fully relax and unwind. I like to have my baths very hot because the warmth helps to relieve muscular aches and pains that I often get. If you haven't already, you can read about my daily shower routine here.
01. Dead Sea SaltDead sea salts have amazing benefits for the skin, so I was over the moon when I saw a bag of salts in Home Sense. When using these I simply throw a few handfuls under hot water and allow them to dissolve. They are enriched with natural minerals and are chemical free, so they really help to sooth irritated skin. They are very healing and help to get rid of dry skin patches, and they also help to soothe itchiness and redness.
02. Sanctuary CandleA candle is an absolute essential during bath time. A few months back when I was in Boots, they had an offer on and were giving out free a Sanctuary candle if you spent a certain amount. The candle smells identical to the signature Sanctuary scent, it's heavenly and creates a lovely relaxing aroma. It's also quite big so is lasting a long time.
03. Skin BrushI don't always remember to do this, but I try to at least twice a week. Skin brushing helps to remove dead skin cells and also increase circulation to encourage cell renewal (read more on the benefits here). So all in all, helping to remove dead skin so your skin is left feeling smoother. I like to think of it as an exfoliation without products. I do this all over my body, paying particular attention to my thighs as it helps to break down cellulite and the fatty deposits that cause it. Always make sure you go in the direction of your heart to help drain toxins.
04. Baby OilInstead of using a moisturiser after the bath, I like to apply baby oil as I feel it locks in more moisture, and does better for my skin. It's a super gentle product as it's created for babies, so it's perfect for my sensitive skin. Sometimes, if I feel like I need extra nourishment I add a splash of baby oil to the bath water. I also use baby oil instead of shaving foam as it's so much cheaper and is kinder to my skin, it also soothes any post shaving irritation on my legs.
