Want to know what's my little secret indulgence? It's the simplistic pleasure of unwinding after a long tiring day to some nail pampering! Therefore you can imagine my immense joy as I welcome established nail salon Nailz Treats as my official nails sponsor!
The nail salon looked really warm and inviting when I stepped in, and I was a greeted warmly with a warm tea as I snuggled into their couch seats. It was actually full house when I stepped in, so do try to book ahead if you are looking to do you nails during the weekend.
Nailz Treats has such a colossal variety of nail designs to choose from that I literally took like an hour to decide. I settled on a simple but intricate baroque design for my fingers and the galaxy design that I've always wanted to try!
To start off, my nails were cut and buffed before a PH Bond and foundation base was applied to give my nails additional protection. I choose a lovely cobalt blue as an understated shade that's suitable for work, which also made the gold square studs and ring embellishments really pop!
Super intricate is how the lace effect was painstakingly painted on, stroke by stroke. I am really impressed at the level of skill by my nail artist! And since I've always loved a little bling treatment, so Nailz Treats had kindly added some mini diamantes to jazz up the look!
For my feet, I decided to try the galaxy design that I have always wanted! My feet was soaked thoroughly before applying a scrub to slough off the dead skin of my legs; which emerged silky soft and visibly brightened! As for my feet which had hardened callus, I was rather sheepish to see the amount of dead skin flakes when it was scraped with a foot file (absolutely painless btw!)
If you ever chose a galaxy design, you will soon understand how time-consuming and delicate technique it is: a dark base color is first used as a foundation to the paintwork, before lighter colors are layered one by one, before using either a small, precision tool to meticulously trace out the details of the stars, nebulas, etc. It takes great eye-power, creativity and a steady hand to execute this...
And the results definitely was worth it!
I am absolutely in love with the effect of my completed Baroque nails, which has garnered me a lot of compliments and is quite the conversation starter! Even with my daily errands, these gel nails have held fort for 3 weeks and counting with nary a chip!
And here is my Galaxy Design, happy flaunted it in my new gladiator sandals at the recent Singtel TLC Festival! With dolled up nails like this, I totally ditched my usual covered shoes to flaunt them in my summer sandals!
