The explosion happened during the Boston marathon was truly an act of terrorism that devastated most of the people around the world. Sadly, not everyone’s seems to be sad about this incident.

This image appeared on my Facebook Newsfeed a couple of days ago, which seemed to have received hundreds of shares and likes. It was reshared by a poplar page and brought up a debate. While Muslims defended their side talking about the number of people died in their countries, others pointed out the cruelty of this photo. This made me wonder why someone would make a photo like this, does this mean no one mourned in these countries when thousands of Muslim people died? Why do these Muslims show their hatred towards a country at a time of tragedy? Do they feel no sympathy for the people who have lost their family members in this incident?

This is just one image I saw on Facebook. I have no idea what others are sharing in social networks or talking with each other.  Sure, hundreds and thousands of people die everyday, in accidents, terrorist attacks and natural disasters. But whenever I hear a news like that, I only feel sad for those who have lost. I never even try to compare the number of death’s with some other incident.

Whether if it’s a life of just one little boy or 1000 people, I see no difference. Tragedy comes in many faces, but we all need to be united to face these acts of terrorism. The loss needs to be felt the same by everyone, despite who did it or their religion or the situation in their country.

In times of tragedy, be together and show kindness. This is what I believe.
