Here's one for all you fans of vintage crime -- though in fact it's a brand new novel. Margery Allingham was the first crime writer I ever read and she remains an all-time favorite. Of course she is no longer with us, but here we have a novel started in 1969 by her widower and just completed by the novelist Mike Ripley. You can read my full review of it in issue 2 of Shiny New Books, and there's also an interview with Mike Ripley about the process of writing it. Tremendous fun.
