Yesterday I picked up the other third of the plants I over-wintered in their containers in my parents' garden. Turns out it was more like another half.

This gorgeous orange Iris is one of three I bought at the Friends of Gardens Manitoba annual Mother's Day Sale last weekend and put into the south lasagna garden. Prices were not nearly as good as they were at the fall sale, but nonetheless I also bought:3 Bleeding Heart, x, y, z
This little fella is one of the first of 50 early blooming miniature Iris I planted in the fall and I am thrilled to see him, a harbinger of blooms to come.
