[Movie Review] Will World War Z Give Me Nightmares?

Will World War Z give me nightmares?

A few weeks ago I was at the theater watching the NEW Star Trek flick in 3D and I saw the preview for World War Z. I had seen the preview before and I’d said to Danny, Yeah I’m not watching that, it’ll give me nightmares. When I saw the preview in 3D that day, I almost choked on my popcorn when I saw the Zombies jumping out of the screen straight for moi. Oh hell no! I’m definitely NOT watching that! Guess what movie I went to go see at the theater last night with my niece? World War Z!This movie is rated pg13

Just as the lights went out my niece asked if she could move away from me and to the center of the aisle. I said sure, not everyone has to be subjected to my claustrophobic nature (I have to sit at the end of the aisle.) and my weak bladder. I regretted it the second I saw her get up and walk down the row. WHAT WAS I THINKING? I’m a scaredy cat. I used to live for ALL things scary. As a child I read every R.L. Stine and Christopher Pike book I could get my hands on. I loved watching the movies that made me jump! My friends, on the other hand, did not like the bruises my fleeing fists would make to their arms as I screamed and punched out in the air (or so I thought). When the nightmares would come after watching a movie, they would stay with me for days; sometimes weeks. Who wants to live their life looking over their shoulders, checking under the bed or sleeping under the covers? Not I.

I thought Brad Pitt was amazing! Gerry Lane was the dutiful family man, who does everything he can to protect them. I personally loved the problem solving walk through of the disease that caused the dead to walk! Who doesn’t love a great puzzle? Just when you think there is a break, the puzzle changes complexity.

When the guy that’s supposed to figure out the puzzle slips and … well you’ll have to watch it to find out.

Star Trek is Friday Night Worthy!

World War Z is a must see in theaters on a Friday night! You can see it on a date with your honey bunny, with your brave tween or with your zombie gamers! It wasn’t as scary as I thought it was going to be and it has a satisfying ending. If you’re braver than me, see it in 3D! On a happy note, I didn’t have nightmares! Although it was probably due to the comforting fact that my niece said she’d protect me if the zombies came!

In the car after the movie:

Me: Hey what would you do if zombies attached the car right now?

My Niece: I would look for the sharpest thing in the car and stab them in the head.

Me: Do you think that’ll work?

My Niece: Titi, You have to remember that I kill zombies all day.

Me: Yeah but I played video games all the time to, and I think if they came right now, I’d die. lol

My Niece: You haven’t played in years. I have more experience.

Me: You’re right! Thanks for protecting me!

Here’s the trailer for you in case you’re looking for a movie to watch tonight!

Ladies and gentlemen, my niece is a zombie killer! Do you have a zombie killer in your family? Will you go see World War Z?

Until then,
