When Harry Met Sally
Starring: Meg Ryan, Billy Crystal, Carrie Fisher, Bruno Kirby
Summary: This movie follows two characters who go on a cross country drive and afterwards, start seeing each other all over the place in New York during the course of twelve years.

My Thoughts: When Harry Met Sally is the mother of all romantic comedies and it is really that good. Most people go, "OH MY GOD, I LOVE THAT MOVIE. IT'S THE BEST," and this movie is talked about so much that it had gotten old, but I had never seen it. I hadn't planned on seeing it either, but one day I was browsing through the television channels and I through caution to the wind and watched this and, like everyone else that saw this movie, loved it!

Now that I have seen this movie, I can get all the jokes and see all the similarities in all the other romantic comedies I have seen. AND THERE'S A LOT!

But, let's get on to what's in the movie. Meg Ryan, fabulous of course, but this is one of my favorite movies starring her. It is the same character she usually plays (the uptight, know-it-all), but this girl she plays is somehow different and I can't place my finger on it, but it is better. I wasn't expecting Billy Crystal to be any good in this movie because he's not what I was expecting. He's not the tall, handsome guy in normal rom coms, but I must remember this movie was made in 1989. Maybe girls before though he was a hunk, but him being not-so-attractive made it a tad relatable because no  matter how we all lust for the hot guy, we all can't get him.

What really makes this movie is the comedy. Sure, the romance is great, but this movie is downright hilarious! The dialogue and scenes between the two leads are what drive this movie and keep you watching. It's not about the kissing or the lovey dovey scenes or the wondering will-they-do-it-or-won't-they like other movies are. This movie is about the laughs and the up-and-downs of normal life and finding love.

This movie is highly enjoyable and I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for something new to watch. Well, not new because this movie is old, but new to you.
