The Bling Ring (2013)Starring: Emma Watson, Katie Chung, and Israel Broussard
Summary:
Inspired by actual events, a group of fame-obsessed teenagers use the internet to track celebrities' whereabouts in order to rob their homes. My Thoughts: This movie was like a video from health class on what NOT to do with your life. Seriously, it was horribly acted, mainly because of Emma Waton's horrible American accent and the lead characters acting horribly vapid and shallow, but the acting just wasn't working for them. I swear to you the amount of times the word "like" or "totally" said in this movie slowly killed my brain cells. But this was perfect for capturing how America is now since it is how we are. We're a bad after school special. ALL OF US. The smokers, the drinkers, every single one of us. From every selfie we take to every bad choice we make because its all true. This movie is all true about us. We dream and wish this wasn't how it was since we try so, so hard to make life not be like this movie, but its true since ITS BASED OFF A TRUE STORY.So its good to watch, only if you get it. Or if you're bored out of your mind, which I was, but I still enjoyed it for what the movie was.
