Recently, I cancelled my cable. Yes, I really did. Since that fateful day I have signed up yet again with Netflix. And at the recommendation of a friend I added Huluplus as well. Let's just say that lately I have been well entertained besides of course working on new items for BlondiesShop. I've watched a lot of movies and caught up on a few tv shows.
A few of the movies I've watched this weekend are: The Double, Cake, and The Lincoln Lawyer. Just to name a few. Oh, and Huluplus alerted me to the latest episode of Fairly Legal being available to watch.
I was pleasantly surprised with The Double. A spy, action-adventure movie starring Richard Gere and Topher Grace. I'll admit that I wasn't real sure how it was going to go but, the plot was very well done. The twist at the 3/4 mark was not something I was expecting whatsoever. I would have liked to seen the ending be slightly different.
Heather Graham was exactly what Cake needed. It was cute, sarcastic and funny. A must see movie for any girl that has "ever" questioned her single status. A definite laugh out loud movie.
The Lincoln Lawyer was just as good the second time around. The only difference is my place isn't quite the theater. Plus, you can't go wrong with Matthew and Marisa, right?
Yesterday morning I went and saw Snow White & the Huntsman. WOW! The movie was fabulous. The set design and costumes were absolutely amazing. Charlize Theron was out of this world as the Evil Queen. AndThor Chris Hemsworth was pretty great himself. William and the seven dwarfs also caught my attention.
Now, I won't spoil it for those that haven't seen the movie as of yet...but, there was one scene in-particular for me that was pretty amazing and Mr. Hemsworth was in it. Can anyone guess which one that was...? And no, it did not involve him being naked in any, way, shape or form. Kristen did a great job of portraying Snow White however, her performance didn't stand out to me. I will say that a few parts definitely reminded me of Bella but, I guess that's expected, right?
All-in-all, the entire cast was amazing! I will definitely be rooting for this movie come awards time. Did you see the movie, what did you think?
Have a magnificent Monday!
