My Thoughts: I'd been waiting to see this movie for forever, and I had been really, really excited to finally see it. It came out on DVD a couple of days ago and I just had to get it and I don't regret it one bit. This is the sort of sit down movie night kind of movie I could watch over and over.
Considering these actors aren't in my "generation" I really didn't know what to expect from them, but they were swell. Most of them played there roles swell, but it did get a little bit cheesy at some points. One of the lead roles who played the "crazy" serial killer person was a bit over the top and they didn't have to do that much to come off crazy. The reasons for these people being kept captive didn't really sell it for me, but my excitement for this movie kept me watching and also, the action kept me on the edge of my seat. The story telling of the things these people had did kept me watching since I wanted to see something extreme. I got what I wanted a little, but I was unsatisfied with what the final reveal was. The punishments got me a little squeemish, like the chopping off of fingers and even a scalping with a pair of scissors. It's brutal and then the ending...The ending sold it for me and it was fantastic. Made me really want more, even though it would be terrible if they made another one. So, I really recommend this movie.
