I took a drive into the canyon the other day. It had been too long and I was excited to see a lot of fall color. Except, in the canyon, winter is well on it's way in and Fall is already on it's way out. The colors were gone and the air was brisk and icy. Even my photos came out with a cold look to them, as if they were able to capture the color of the cold mountain air. While I didn't love being cold there was some kind of excitement deep in my gut that reminded me of glistening trees, cheerful carols, warm meals, and gathering families.
This outfit was one of those looks that I threw together and ended up loving. That deep, pine green is one of my favorite colors and I love how very "Heidi" it is. I love these leggings and how well they work under dresses and tunics. They're on the thinner side so it makes them very comfortable to wear with layers but they're thicker than stockings so they're warmer and more secure.
