Before my parents headed back to Utah we took a day to be tourists and headed to Mount Vernon. I love places like this- stepping into history, seeing things so well preserved; I was as happy as could be.We toured George Washington's home, met Martha Washington, and had dinner at the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant- which was delicious! Everyone was so kind, I was able to be outside and walk around (a lot of the time it was on my own with the dog since he wasn't allowed everywhere), and it couldn't have come on a better day.
