Becoming a parent at a time when I didn't have much knowledge about finances myself, we are kind of both learning along the way. Like all parents, I feel a strong urge to always teach my children everything that I can about everything I know. So what do I know about money? What do you know about money? It's such a hard conversation for some.
Prudential brought a bunch of women from the Houston area to have these discussions and I found that when we all let our guard down and weren't afraid to be vulnerable, we opened ourselves up to learning more. So here are some takeaways for me: I'm gonna talk to my kids more about money, I'm gonna learn about some life planning and finally the big one because of twins-college planning.

Whether we are starting with counting money, saving for a favorite toy or even how to manage a big birthday money gift, we can always use a little help explaining the value of a dollar earned. Paying for College
And the big one! Or big two in my case! My biggest financial regret is student loans, and I don't want my children to take that on themselves, so this will be our task to conquer, together, and sooner than later!
I feel like it all goes back to life long learning. The more we learn, the more we teach, not only our children, but our mothers, spouses and friends!
