How fitting that a new YMCA opened a few months ago and now there is a new race moving to the Mission Reach, just a block away?! I love the Southside!
We've always been a pretty active family. We love Siclovia, the kids have always participated in sports and my husband is a PE teacher/coach, so he stays pretty active. But me? Mom? That's a different story, but one that is pretty common to a lot of mothers I know.
It takes a lot of effort to get to the gym, before or after work, with or without kids in tow. We've usually got to get dinner taken care and have to prepare early for the next day. I feel you!
A couple years ago, I participated in a 5k and it was a great way to jumpstart my physical activity! 5Ks and Kids Runs are a great way to get you motivated. You can walk it, jog it, jogging strollers are even welcome!
And a race like Getaway 5K/10K is a lot of fun for the family with a Finish Line Party, Kids Zone, Festival and a live band! It will make for a great day off the San Antonio Mission Reach! The race officially starts at Mission County Park.
