Most Players ...

By Meachrm @BaseballBTYard
It's the end of June and most players have been working out, practicing, and/or playing since the fall.  The "dog days of summer" are approaching.  Some thoughts about this time of year:
    Most players ...
  • Most players are starting to feel the physical drain of a long season.
  • Most players are starting to feel the mental drain of a long season.
  • Most players start to take it easy.
  • Most players have less "life in their feet" and move a bit slower this time of year.
  • Most players start thinking about their friends who are at the beach or at the pool.
  • Most players don't run the bases like they did at the start of the season.
  • Most players run on and off the field a bit slower.
  • Most players don't attack the game like they did at the start of the season.

Scouts do not like most players.
Most players do not make it to the major leagues.
If you want a shot at making it, stop playing-acting-thinking-practicing like most players.  Especially this time of year.
