Mini-Review of Ska Brewing’s 23rd Anniversary Beer: Moska Mule

Ska Brewing celebrates its 23rd  anniversary this month, and ahead of the anniversary they brewed a celebratory beer: Moska Mule, an ale brewed with ginger and lime (6.12% ABV). Unlike past anniversary beers, this is the first to be canned and made available outside of Durango.

Moska Mule was released at the end of June, so I’m a bit late to the game. But I wanted to give a quick shout about it, as it’s one not to be missed.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from an “ale with ginger and lime,” but it was far more complex than I had imagined. I can see why it was brewed to be enjoyed during the summer, as it is extremely refreshing (the ginger and lime create an invigorating flavor ) and very easy-drinking. It’s also quite tart, which is one reason I ended up loving it so much! There is still plenty of warm weather left in which to try this anniversary beer, though I’m sure it will taste just as delicious in the fall. Find Moska Mule throughout the brewery’s distribution footprint while it lasts!

And don’t miss Ska’s anniversary party Saturday, September 8th! It looks to be sold out, but if you’re one of the lucky ones with tickets, get ready to party with live music and special brews from Ska and more!
