Moroccanoil has to be one of the most well known oils for your hair. I have to admit, I really keep my haircare routine very simple for a day to day basis (I use many more products when I’m styling my hair for a party, etc) as I’m lucky to have healthy thick hair with no major issues but I was still excited to try this product because of how well known it is and the hype that surrounds it.

The product comes with a pump in the box for easy use and is suitable for all hair types whilst there is also a light version of the product especially for those with fine or light coloured hair. This oil really is an all in one as it can be used on hair that is dry or wet and acts as a conditioning, styling and finishing product. I personally prefer to use oils on wet/towel dried hair as I find it works best for my hair in that way. With a gorgeous scent, a little really goes a long way with this oil and you only need a pump or two for medium to long hair, applying from the mid lengths to ends.
The oil isn’t too heavy in formula and when applied to damp hair and then blow dried, you can definitely see the effect it has. My hair was softer with a lovely shine that didn’t look greasy at all and gave my hair a nice healthy appearance. It also works very well when mixed with a hair mask and used in the shower (add a pump of Moroccanoil to your regular hair mask, apply and then rinse off as normal) as it leaves the hair shiny.
When applied on dry hair, I found the oil to be slightly heavy and where it did tame some flyaways and boost the shine on my hair, I was left with a slight greasy feel and look to my hair.
Overall, Moroccanoil worked best for me on wet/damp hair but I think this oil would do wonders for those who suffer from dry, brittle, frizzy or damaged hair. For me, I found that it didn’t quite live up to the hype but it is nevertheless a nice hair product that did work well in certain aspects.
